Home owners received property assessment in the mail and said the value has gone up for the fourth consecutive year. City data released by the assessor’s office shows aldermanic districts 7 and 15 went up around 13 percent. It’s more than double the citywide average of 6 percent, and according to the assessor’s office, it means property taxes in those districts are likely to increase.
Home owners are worried about being priced out of their homes.
